For this brief, the Eye Cinema were looking to collect feedback regarding a variety of sections of their business, both in-person customer-facing as well as social media and website presences. They also wanted to offer prizes to incentivise people to interact with the feedback page.
I needed to create 5 images, 4 under the headings, Time, Personal, Data and Prizes. My idea was to find movies or movie scenes that I thought suited the titles and take a shot from them, giving it a colour halftone effect with a solid colour background to ground the image. After some testing, I also changed the colour in the background of the Images to make the highlighted area stand out more.
The 5th image needed to be a general one, so I wanted something that was in a cinema or theatre. Eventually, I settled on this shot from the Big Lebowski, which worked well, especially as the characters are conversing, potentially talking about the 'Cinema Experience'
The images came together well in the final website, in my opinion.
After the site images, I also created a variety of images to go on social media, as well as an advertisement placed before all film showings for a period of time.
The social media images I made originally with the Big Lebowski image, but weren't getting the interaction that we wanted, so I later adapted the image from Rocky for further social posts, and they performed much better.
